On February 13th, commuters walking through Shunjujku Station's north exit were greeted with a huge Baby Blossom poster on the wall. Attached to the poster were 5,000 replicas of the guitar pics used by the 3 Baby Blossom guitarists: Maeda Atsuko, Oshima Yuko and Takahashi Minami.
Although each person was limited to taking up to 3 picks, in just under 1 hour all 5,000 guitar picks were taken by the commuters.
The give-away was held to promote AKB48's upcoming 25th single [GIVE ME FIVE], which releases on February 15th (today). Baby Blossom is the name of the band AKB48 has formed specially for this single.

The guitar picks have already made it's way up on Yahoo Japan Auctions, fetching an average of 20,000yen for all 3 picks.

I guess with only 5,000 pieces it's considered rare, but I for sure won't be buying it. My wallet is already too broken.
