Professor Son Il Rak, the father of Beast member Son Dongwoon published a book titled ‘Letters To My Son’. Recently during a media interview, Professor Son said, ‘ I published a book called Letters To My Son, its content is about living skills for the future and how to live in harmony with the other members.’

He also wrote in the prologue of the book about the reasons for this creation. ‘It is the anxiety of parents who hope that their child can become artists. Everytime the child whom we diligently brought up goes to the company, we give him lots of encouragement, but we regret not having the courage to nag him.’ He added, ‘ This book of encouragement and support was not written for my son alone, and it is also not because my son’s group has outstanding ability. It is for the group members who are friends that stand by each other through every failure and challenge.”

Meanwhile, Dongwoon is busy preparing for the release of Beast’s next album.

[News] Beast’s Dong Woon runs forward as 'the inline roller skating representative'

48 idol stars gathered at the Bucheon Stadium for the recording of the National Idol Sports Championships broadcast on the 30th of April. Participants representing their hometowns took part in this contest of basic physical abilities with explosive competitive spirit.

A special event in this championships was the inline roller skating event. Beast’s Son Dongwoon took part in this event representing the Gangwon-Chungcheong team.

Before the competition, Dongwoon had previously posted online that his favourite sport was inline roller skating, and he also revealed that during his school days, he had represented Cheongju to take part in the National Inline Roller Skating Competition , getting second place.

Besides Dongwoon, MBLAQ’s Lee Joon and Seungho along with Z:EA’s Dongjun who is recognised as a strong athletic force among idols were his worthy opponents. Even from the beginning, the competition between them was fierce.

Will Beast’s Dongwoon surpass his other idol opponents and show off his skills as the national inline roller skating prize winner? Results will be seen on the program National Idol Sports Championships.

A Pink and B2ST's maknaes revealed a cute cute selca.

On the 2nd of April, the Beast members held the first ever Beast fanclub official launching at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul. During this event, Dongwoon won the title of being the member with the biggest appetite. 

Dongwoon stated, “Recently I read the comic Mr Sushi King (Korean title 미스터 초밥왕) , so I’ve been eating a lot of sashimi and sushi.”, showing his overeating side. 

In the list of ‘gluttons’ among Beast members, Dongwoon takes the top spot followed by Jang Hyunseung, Yoon Doojoon, Lee Kikwang and Yong Junhyung. 

The official fanclub launching was attended by more than 4000 fans. Besides South Korean fans, there were also fans from Japan, China and other Asian countries. There were even fans from Canada. Beast performed songs like Shock and Soom , winning lots of applause.
