CNBLUE leader Jung Yong-hwa and actress Park Shin-hye have held the first script reading for their upcoming drama, according to the show’s promoter on Wednesday.

MBC’s new Wed/Thurs drama “You’re Into Me” made headlines by casting CNBlue’s Jung Yong Hwa andPark Shin Hye as its leads. The two were part of mega-popular drama “You’re Beautiful,” where Jung’s Shin Woo lost the girl – Park’s Mi Nam – to Jang Geun Suk’s Hwang Tae Kyung. The two received much love as the Shin Woo-Mi Nam couple in 2009 and will once again show their perfect on-screen chemistry.

On May 2^nd, the entire cast of got together at the JS Picture’s office for their first script reading. For two months, television viewers will be able to feast their eyes on beautiful young up-and-coming stars like Jung Yong Hwa, Park Shin Hye, Song Chang Hui, So Yi Hyun, Kang Min Hyuk, and Woori. The drama also boasts of veteran actors like Shin Goo, Sun Woo Jae Duk, Lee Yil Hwa, and Kim Sun Kyung.

The drama’s promoter, JS Pictures announced in a press release that along with Jung and Park, actor Song Chang-eui, actresses So E-hyun and Woo Ri as well as CNBLUE drummer Kang Min-hyuk took part in the first script reading session for “You Have Fallen For Me (translated title)” on May 2.

“The atmosphere was a bit awkward since it was the very first time that the main and supporting cast gathered together in one spot,” an official with the show was quoted as saying. “But once the reading session began everyone relaxed and it felt like one big family.”

“You’re Into Me” is singer-actor Jung Yong Hwa’s first lead role. Despite his hectic schedule promoting his album “Intuition” with fellow CNBlue members, he showed passion and energy towards acting. The actors showed up to the script reading ready for their parts. Jung Yong Hwa, who plays arrogant Lee Shin, showed up in a sharp blazer; and Park Shin Hye, who plays bubbly Lee Gyu Won, sported a new short hairdo.

The drama, which will premiere on June 29, will be helmed by scenarist Lee Myung-sook and producer Pyo Min-soo whose previous works include hit melodramas such as “Full House” (KBS, 2004) and “Worlds Within” (KBS, 2008).

Woori from talent (agency) has been casted to play the female lead role in the new MBC drama “You’ve Fallen for Me”.

The new drama of Pyo Min Su PD, “You’ve Fallen For Me”, is a melodrama on university of the arts students on love and friendships, dreams and youth.

In this drama, Woori will play character of ‘Han Hee Joo’, who has had a crush on ‘Lee Shin’ (Jung Yonghwa) since middle school, and becomes the love interest of Yeo JunHee (Kang Minhyuk). She’ll be the rival of the other female lead, Lee Kyuwon (Park Shinhye).

Pyo Minsu PD said that Woori reminded him of Sim Eunha during her debut days and that he’s looking forward to see how she will portray the character ‘HeeJoo’ in the drama.



Woori stated, “It’s truly an honor to be casted in the respected Pyo Minsu PD’s production. In order to play ‘HeeJoo’, I’ve been working hard training in vocal and dance lessons.”

Other than Woori, Jung Yonghwa, Park Shinhye, Kang Minhyuk and So Yihyun have been casted. MBC’s new drama, “You’ve Fallen for Me”, is set to be broadcasted this upcoming June 29th.

[News] MBC reveals new name for “Festival”!

The new name for “Festival” is *drumroll*… “You’re Into Me” (넌 내게 반했어) !!!

Earlier this month, MBC ‘Give a New Name for Festival’ campaign, which aims at engaging the audience in the making of the highly-anticipated summer drama. Netizens from worldwide were invited to pool in their ideas and creativity for a new drama title.

The campaign ended on April 10 and the winners + new title were announced. “You’re Into Me”, starring Park Shin Hye, Jung Yonghwa (CNBlue) and Kang Minhyuk (CNBlue) will begin filming towards the end of this month and will proceed to Japan for filming in May/June.

A representative of JS Pictures stated, “There were a lot of innovative and fun title ideas, but we felt that the title we chose best fit with the plot of the drama. As the plot revolves around the dreams and passions of young students attending an arts college, we believe this title is the best in sketching out the theme of the plot.”

It is also announced today that the drama will start airing on June 29 2011 instead of June 22.
