According to L'Oreal's website, their Concentrated Lash Boosting Serum is supposed to give you "visibly fuller, thicker natural lashes with less lash fallout when removing makeup. The breakthrough formula contains Centella Asiatica Extract and Arginine to reinforce, condition, and protect each lash."
- Centella Asiatica is the extract of herb that... has antibacterial, anti-psoriatic, and wound-healing properties.
- Arginine is an amino acid that has antioxidant properties and can be helpful for wound healing.
So wound healing seems to be the big thing here. Perhaps they're trying to help your eyelids heal whenever your lashes fall out.... I'm a tad confused as to why these ingredients are necessary. Perhaps someone can explain better than I can make a theory.
I originally purchased L'Oreal's Concentrated Lash Boosting Serum because it has such good reviews on makeupalley.com. Then I started getting suckered into the idea that maybe I could do something positive for my lashes since I curl them almost every day. Oh, marketing.
Cost: $13 in most stores.
I've been using this on and off for a few weeks now. I haven't noticed any change in the thickness of my lashes but I have definitely noticed that my lashes haven't been falling out as much while taking off my makeup! Definite pro since I dislike losing lashes. :)
