My lips have been constantly dry lately even with also constant lip balm application. Nothing seems to be doing the trick lately. I decided to try a new lip balm, L'Occitane Ultra Rich Lip Balm since it sounds, well, ultra rich!
I love lip balms so I was really excited to try this new one! This is what my balm looked like when I took the cap off.
Sorry about the really bright pictures. I was practicing taking pictures in my new DIY Light Box (Thank you, Jyoseph.com) and am still learning the ropes. Tried to fix the contrast on Photoshop for blogging sake.
I twirled up the base so that I could apply the lip balm and I get this. Less than half an inch of product. What the heck?!
My first thought was that someone had previously used this lip balm. But.. it was shrink wrapped... So I emailed L'Occitane about this in case I had received a defective product. My container says 0.07 oz on it and yet the balm container on their website states 0.17 oz. In response, I didn't receive the most helpful reply but I suppose it somewhat explained the quantity...
Here was the email: "Our Shea Ultra Rich Lip Balm is packaged by weight and the packaging is designed for convenient use. The product is not to the top when the item is manufactured. We apologize for any inconvenience. "
L'Occitane Shea Butter Lip Balm Stick doesn't feel like it moisturizes my lips very well but it does make a nice little.. shield(?) for my lips. Perhaps it'd do well to be a sealant to normal lip balm or something. *Shakes head at quantity*
Cost: $10 for 0.07/0.17 oz????
Verdict: Would not repurchase.
